are you dead set on using a starquad type of cable?

I am a big fan of the Canare F-10 RCA connector and the Canare LV-77S cable

Also a good choice, just a bit different on the application. I've only had good luck with 75ohm cable when using some kind of crimper system. I can never seem to get a nice lasting connection otherwise.

I also use the canare crimp ends as well...very good stuff...but spendy

I havnt had any problems with any soldering style of RCAs...

If your soldering just make sure to crimp down well on the inside of the cover. Huge difference if that is overlooked.

it was probably an isolated incident as many people have used this arrangment
