I called the local Sherwin Williams, they dont have the Evercoat Rage Gold in stock, only the Evercoat Rage, at 35 bucks a gallon. I dont think anyone else in town carries this type of stuff, and I can pick it up today and get started on the box tonight (also have homework to do tho).

Is there a big difference between Rage and Rage Gold? Is Rage much much better than the standard Bondo I used last time?

I also have Evercoat's Metal Glaze filler to go over it to make it extra smooth, and if I need more (I doubt) its 15 bucks.

Or is there another product I should ask for.

I was just gonna pick up a couple bags of the weave and chop fg from Home Depot (and a good mask) and layer both to make sure its super strong. That sound good?

I lay down a bunch of foil in my trunk, then wide masking tape, then I lay down one layer of FG strips for the mold, right?

I am going with a 3/4" baffle with an 11 and 1/8" cutout (inner circle), and a larger one with a 12.75" cutout (flush mount) and I want a 1" wide ring... then rabbett the edges.

When I slap on the FG to the ring, should I go over and underneath it as well for added strength? I dont want more cracks....

Thanks Mr Woodneto, I will check out Sun n Ski... they might have some. Any particular type of fiberglass to look for?

I got a bit confused with tight weave/chop/ and some other wired kinds...

the mat they have will probably be thicker...therefore stronger with less layers.

i dont know much about it though...just the basic...use chopped mat on cruved surfaces..and the weaved on your flatter areas

ok cool, will do some lurking.

I just picked up a spray gun set (cheap, but hopefully should work), air regulator, and one of those scary looking masks that Alpha is always wearing...

You might also want to go to http://www.glassmanscustomforum.com/ since they sell Rage Gold for $30.99 there. The forums require registration if you want to get a lot of good glassworking advice (the videos he sells are the best), but I haven't seen many forums that offered better help than what you'll get there.
