Hey guys. I'm looking to make a 4.85uf capactior and a 5.65uf capacitor. What do i need? Any one have a link to a calculator of sorts?

I think i have figured it out, but if someone can double check-

would a 25 uf and 6 uf capacitor give me very close to 4.85uf?
would a 18 uf and 8.2 uf give me very close to 5.65 uf?

wow. they have a HUGE selection. Much easier now to just get the ones that i can run in parallel to equal what i need. Thanks Renz.

So how is this-

a .15 uf and a 4.7 uf in parallel for 4.85 and a 2.5 uf, 3 uf, and .15 uf for 5.65 uf?

i'm taking my first stab at crossovers as well. i just ordered some parts that i came up with using this calculator-

http://www.apicsllc.com/apics/Misc/filter2.html#fourth

somebody hooked me up with that in this thread a while back-

Sounds like it should work without much issues. You want to keep in mind that you're working with components that have tolerances. Unless you're going to be buying really low tolerance caps ($$), it might not be in your best interest to chain a ton of them together. This probably won't be much of an issue in your case, but it's something to keep in mind when you want to make a large capacitance out of a lot of smaller capacitors.
