Well, all the parts have came in and i'm soo excited.

Breakdown:

Mids/mid bass : Image dynamics cx-64 OEM
Tweets/ x overs: Blaupunkt vc100 set
Amp: eD NINe.4

So far I have been breaking in all the speakers and tweets.
I have the power and relay for the 9.4 wired already.

I am working on the amp rack mainly so that I can at least give all these a test run before they get put in.

Here is some pics of the progress along with the audio goodness

the nine.4

(thx benchambers801)
overall nice pic

here is test fitting the spade terminals. i had to bend the power/ground a little bit to make the spade fit into it

Another pic

tweets
(thanks bld 25 for recommendation!!!!)
pic of one tweeter. its pretty small. so far while ive been breaking them in on my hometheater amp at low volumes, they sound nice. Plenty good enough for me...and the price is outstanding for what you get!

box

pieces included for 4 different mounting ways

xover decently sized. the circle shape is pointless and a little odd, but it works

internals... not bad for a cheap thing.

has 2 switches.
x over point 3 vs 6 khz - i wish there was something around 4.5, thats what i need, but from my testing so far, either sounds good on this setup.
3 khz helps a bit better i think in rap sounds because it helps pick up more of the vocals so that they isnt a constant in/out switch from woofer to tweet.
6khz definately sounds better as far as sq for the tweeter.

the other switch is db level.
0db vs -3db as others have said, its quite a big difference between the 2. 0 db would be great for of axis. im probably going to go with -3db a little off axis because of my tastes and the amount of power i will be feeding it.

mids
thanks x1000 hessdawg!!! picked these up for 90 shipped- a steal!!!
i love these things!
come with everything you need to run them. speaker, grill, screws, gasket, and wire (although it may be a bit too thin for realistic purposes.)
they were packaged very nicely and look great!

absolute beauty

nice big weave cf. you can see through the gaps from the back.
very nice front gasket- thick. heavy duty rubber surround.
one downside/ manufacturing error is that the dust cap peak sticks out further than the surround/ mount. whatever tho.

fairly slim for a nice midbass- 2.8 inches mounting depth i believe

fata** magnet. this thing is beastly. weighing in at 5 lbs per driver

here is a pic of the design for the bottom piece of the amp rack for the 9.4
it will most likely have side pieces. reason for this shape is becaause of air flow. i have a nine.1 in a mount with sides that this will sit on top of. it has a blue led fan also. everthing will be rounded and painted-(maybe gloss black??)

pics will come up as i install
