Hey Gang...The Duratex should be here tomorrow. I have a question about the wiring. I see a lot of you have 12 gauge wire. I saw Alex saying that's overkill. I couldn't remember what he said but I picked up some 16 gauge. Is that too small? I can always take that back. Thanks for your help!

For as short of a distance between the amp and the drivers, 16 gauge should be fine. 14 is ideal, but you're honestly not going to notice a performance difference whatsoever between the 2.
You'll be fine.

Agree with the above. I used 12 gauge because I had tons of it laying around.

Hey Gang,
Well the painting is done, the drivers are in and the amp is hooked up. I have some pics that I will post later tonight. Everything went really well. Well except for one screw that didn't want to go in straight. All is good though. I haven't calibrated it yet. I did plug it in and threw in Transformers 2 for a bit. WOW...that's all I can say. I had it in the 12 o'clock position and I thought the glass on my fireplace was going to blow. I turned it down to about the 10 o'clock position and it sounded so perfect. I don't have any equipment to throw some charts at you guys. Maybe I'll pick something up and you guys can tell me what they mean. Thanks everyone for the help. I can't imagine two of these. Unreal. Take care guys. I'll post some pics later.

Hey Gang,
Here are some pics. You'll have to excuse the mess. My basement is a disaster at the moment. I have crap everywhere. I just wanted to listen to my new speaker! Anyways...enjoy...cause I am! I'll post some tests when I get a device. Thanks again ED! Sounds amazing!

Sub look s real good. Did you order the grill or are you leaving it nekkid?
Also looks like you got quite a lively room. I would suggest some treatments
to make it less reflective. Maybe an area rug to start? Just a suggestion!!

I have a grill coming. It should ship in the coming week. The room is a little lively..It's not as bright as it appears in the pictures. It's my basement. So everything is solid and sound bounces around really good. I know it's not the most ideal HT room but it works for me. Someday I'll have my dream HT, I'm happy with what I got though.
