I finally got a couple amps back in my car to have music. Thank you warmer weather!

The last 6 weeks was me just cruising around with a sub in. I was trying to kill a DB Drive Platinum with a nine.1 at full tilt. I didn't succeed at all...

I have a nine.2 and a nine.2x in there now just running the front stage. The drivers consist of e9.65 mids and TBI tweeters. It's all being ran active off the Eclipse 8053.

Holy clarity and dynamics! Lots of power!

I'm using cascading crossovers to protect the mids.

No sub in right now. I don't have the time or warm weather to build a false floor right now to have the nine.1 under there too.

I'll have a bunch of choices for a sub. All custom built and a couple that have yet to be built.


I just wanted to post this up to show how pleased I am.

I had those same three amps in my setup for awhile!

Nine.2 on the tweets...talk about headroom! And the Nine.2x is perfect for mids! Nice amps!

I'm not even sure if i'll get to put the nine.1 in before I sell the tC.

Yup, mine were all OG Nine.x's too! Hey, a tC...mine were in an xB! Parallel universes!

i did something similar in the xB before...

Nine.2 to DLS IR tweets, Nine.4 bridged to DLS IR6 midbass, Nine.1 to 13Av.2

My electrical system still hates me.

I have the big 3 and don't really wang it too often. I am thinking of getting a replacement for the original battery soon. 11.3V at rest.

BTW, did you use the stock tweeter locations or sails/pods/door?

Mine are stuck to the bottom of the A-pillar with double-sided tape.

I only have 4g power wire installed, a factory battery, and no big 3 done.


That period when I had just the nine.1 on the DB Drive Plat was odd. I could make the headlights almost look like parking lights while going 70mph.

Im glad to see you got it all up and running once again, along with matching amplifiers.

Whats your thoughts on the e9.65i mids? What crossover point are you running?

It is nice having music...

I'm pretty pleased with the mids. They sound a lot better with a bit of power.

If I remember right... On the low end (63@24db from the 8053) and (40@12 from the nine.2x). The top end is set at 2.5k@12db.

Some people might mistake me having an 8" sub in the car, but my hatch is empty.
