Finished the install last night. Terrible photo taken with my iPhone. I'll take some better ones this weekend. Still have some wire loom work to do, but the bulk of the install is completed.

Initial opinion? I think it sounds great, to be honest I am very impressed with the nice deep sound so far. I'll have more time to play with the tuning this weekend. Didn't finish it until 10:00pm last night.

Ben, I am having issues with the bass control knob. Can I buzz you at the office and ask a few questions?

That looks fantastic! Exactly how I was hoping it would look.

I am definitely going to do this for my B5 S4 with my two 13Ov.2s.
Did you cut out the hole with the router? I'm concerned about what I could use to cut that out...I feel like the standard jigsaw would have a tough time with that.

Where did you get the acrylic? I've seen it for well over $100 for 3/8"x2'x4'. that's hugely expensive. No wonder it wouldn't phase you to make a whole MDF enclosure as a template, heh.

Seriously nice looking, though.

Thanks bro, I used a router for the holes. No way am I skilled enough to try and cut them out with a jigsaw. I used a jasper jig

I bought the acrylic at a local shop. Cost just under $200. Yup, acrylic is expensive as hell. I probably could have found it cheaper online, but the shipping costs would have killed me, it's heavy!

P.S, Creating the box in MDF and using the pieces as templates was the key for this build. Can't "fix" any screw-ups with acrylic like you can with MDF.

i have a disc from a few years ago that we used during IASCA competitions in my car. My friend made me a copy. I had a more recent one, but somebody sat on it in my car and snapped it right in half.

That's definitely very cool. I'm sure if I ever see a bumpin smart car it'll be you. Can't imagine many people have systems like that in their smart cars.

Ok maybe I missed it, but what did you use to attach the drivers?
