Now that there isn't any football to watch I've decided to occupy my time with actually building something for my Toyota.
First on the list...amp rack.
I really like the way it turned out...
plus I still have full use of the cargo area...
I'll fab up a sub enclosure for the corresponding space on the passenger side...probably go with an IDQ or maybe a e5.12
 good times. I almost forgot how fun this car audio stuff can be.

I want to see how hiding the wires will come out. Amp rack came out beautifully though. How stable is it with those 2 mounting points?

Thanks, man.
I'm undecided on the wires as I really don't want to cut the factory plastic. I'm leaning towards drilling a hole and placing a grommet in the tail light access cover...at most all that will be seen is a couple inches of wire loom sneaking around the back. At least that way I can replace the cover easily if I decide to remove the system.
I've got velcro tape running the full length of both vertical and horizontal legs were they meet the factory plastic and it's solid as a rock. Again, easier to return to stock as opposed to drilling into the factory panel. We'll see as I'm heading for a little off-roading this afternoon...should really put the mounts to the test

How do you have the amps mounted on the rack? Just curious, very clean install. Working on something similar.
I removed the bottom plate and broke the mounting tabs at a 90 deg angle like so...
...it's a little scratched up from the mock up, but I'll have it nice and shiny when I finalize the install.

I hate when guys "Pimp Out" their rides to the point they can't put anything in back anymore, or can't even use their back seats. I mean, I guess it's okay IF they have another vehicle to carry groceries & stuff (Or like IF they never want to buy wood ever again). but I give extra points to guys that are creative and still leave room for beer coolers and the girlfriends.
Braap still has a Practical Ride with room for the important things in life! B&B&B!

Wow...I guess I never got around to updating this thread
Here are a few pics of the amp rack before I bolted it in...
I used weather stripping where it contacts the interior plastic to tone down any rattles and prevent any scratching...
and here's a pic of everything together...
...the sub is the DIYMA R12 and front stage consists of old school a/d/s/ 346is comps. I'm using an Alpine iDA-X305 for the source with a PXA-H100 handling the processing duties.
I'm happy with the way everything sounds, but we all know how it is when you get the bug...
expect to see more updates in the next few weeks
