Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of the installation...kinda got in the zone and forgot to

...but I do have a few of my initial 'glass work for the back wall of the enclosure...

I'm about to do it all over again so this time I'll try to take more pics.

Did you run into any issues with the glass staying inverted on the inside compartment?

At first, yes I did...but changed techniques a little to work around it. Normally I shred the chopped mat by hand before laying it down but I couldn't get it to stay in place long enough to cure. After a little brainstorming I came up with the idea of leaving the mat intact and setting it in place with a small spritz of spray adhesive then saturating with resin. On that inner portion I only laid one layer before popping the mold and added mass layers from the easy position of the workbench.

Thats great. I was asking, as its the technique I have used as well.

Wanted to see if you had a better way to do it.

I have also formed a mesh screen to the shape. Removed the screen and put mat behind it. Once the screen is back in place, apply the resin.

was able to squeeze a little "me" time in this weekend and managed to cut out my new rings...

which are for this sexy beast...

it'll be a challenge to find an extra .4 (or so) cubic feet of air space and still retain the ability to load the cargo area with coolers, luggage, fishing rods, etc...but I've always been fond of challenges...

big plans in the works for Super Sunday so I probably won't have an update for a couple of weeks, but I expect to hit it full bore after that!

picked up the hardware for the new sub...

I like the look of 12 point fasteners and you don't usually see them, especially in stereo installs, so I thought it would be cool to use them here. The only problem was the smallest I could find was 1/4-20 so I had to open up the mounting holes on the sub a bit.

Nothing fancy here...just used the sub as a template to mark the holes then clamped it down to the drill press.

I used t-nuts without spikes, because they've never worked well with MDF. These have small flutes on the shaft that grip the inside of the hole and I added a dab of glue to keep them in place.

..here's a close-up of the fastener...

I hope to get the back wall of the enclosure done sometime next week.
