Hi Everyone and Happy New Year. I made the leap to purchase an ED A2-300 sub for my HT (in progress). I currently have a Polk Audio PSW110 that I cannot wait to replace with the A2-300. I have been piecing together my system slowly but surely and after hours and hours of covering AV forums I made the decision to go with ED based on the specs and pricepoint. Now the hard part....the waiting. I placed my order in December so I am hopeful to get this baby soon.

Current setup:
Kenwood VSX-1019AH-K receiver
Ascend Acoustic 170 mains
Ascend Acoustic 340 center
Polk Audio T15 surrounds
Polk Audio PSW110 sub.....soon to be replaced
HP 42" Plasma HDTV

I got the shipment notification today. Should be at the house on Friday. After all, I decided to keep my Polk sub and run it along with the A2-300. I cannot wait to see how they sound together. Anyone running dual subs have any tips/tricks for me? I have never run two subs at once and I cant wait to watch Terminator Salvation!!! Thank eD.

will the polk keep up with the eD? I've never really liked the thought of mixed subwoofers, though some one else on here is doing that with something like 6 different subs....

ya I doubt very seriously the Polk will be anywhere near the eD, but i thought i would give it a try. if one sub is good, two must be better, right? If the Polk isnt pulling its weight i will run just the A2-300. I will post results after i tweak with the system. Is it Friday yet?

So the A2-300 arrived late Friday afternoon. I got home from work to see this huge monster of a box sitting on my porch. I snapped a few pics for you guys to enjoy. Anyone waiting on their A2-300 to ship...the wait is worth it. I am running this sub in parrallel with my older Polk PSW110. I am not even sure I can hear my Polk now. This sub brings to life so much more audio than I could have hoped for. For example, the lead in to American Idol has a whole new life now. There is a rumble to that intro music that I never realized. I think its time to ditch the Polk to the bedroom and pony up for a second A2-300

Thanks eD for a quality product and all your late hours to get these subs out to the customers. Setup was easy and I do receommend the split RCA plug to optimize the sub output.

Here are some pics of the packaging and setup. Enjoy!

It looks good under the tv stand.

I really like your wood floors as well. What type of wood is that?

ya under the TV stand was the perfect place and size to put the sub. i was a little worried that the sub being in the center of the viewing wall would cause a loss of sound/feel. Well let me tell you, there is no loss!!!!

Alex, the floors are 3/4" Patagonian Rosewood. Real nice floors, even though they really didnt come out in the pics.

Hi guys,

Thought I would post another update. I got my new plasma on Friday. I went with the Samsung 58" and it looks great in the room. The stand that I had my little 42" plasma sitting on was tembling with pain when I set the 100lbs Samsung on it. I was able to pickup a heavier duty stand from the local BB. My one requirement for the new stand is it had to be able to accomodate the A2-300. I love the sub right where it was and truth be told, I really had no other place to put it It fits real nice in the new stand and Superbowl Sunday was a real treat for me and my guests.

The new tv looks great, and the new stand looks really nice with the A2-300 inside of it.

Its almost like both had been built for one another.

Yes, the stand works wonderfully with the sub. As a side note since that picture I put the spikes back on the feet of the sub. The movie the Hurt Locker had that sub slipping and sliding all over the floor of the stand. With those weapons...uh, I mean spikes on the feet that sub isnt moving now

You could put a throw rug under the sub, it would help in keeping it put.
