Well I'm at a stand still with the sub until I get my replacement. I've been thinking thru the front speaker installation. I have a nice amount of area in the doors so I'm thinking about fiberglassing some enclosures for the 3.65's, as well as building angle spacers to mount the drivers to. Does anyone have experience putting these in enclosures? What kind of volume should I try to give them? Also, since the speakers will be angled towards the occupants in their factory locations, I'm thinking I may mount them as coax's. Any mid-range dispersion issues when mounting as coax?
Thanks again

Well so far I'm pretty pleased. Definately plays lower than the Kicker it replaced. Not as much output yet but that's probably due to break-in. Also seems much tighter. I expect characteristics will change in the next few days.

Also I installed the comp's last week. Much better than the Polk db's that were in there for about a week, but seriously considering going 3-way.

And to think I told the wife I was just going to throw a little something in the truck to be better than factory. Forgot how addicted I get to this stuff!

Nice clean setup. I just sold my 13Ov.2's to a buddy and we were able to fit them under the back seats of a 2000 Sierra. That was a tight fit.Much more ugly that yours too.

NICE!

I really like the ground connection, much cleaner than my dremel with a grinding stone and then hitting the whole thing (bolt and terminal) with primer.

That is an extremely clean install. What are those, right angle RCA's?

Really nice job....

Thanks for the comments guys!
Joey, yes, right angle rca adapters. Looks a little cleaner in my opinion.
I still have a ways to go. Nothing screwed down yet. Have to work on carpet seams some to blend them in. It certainly isn't one of my flashiest installs, but I haven't touched car audio in 10 years+. I'm a stay home dad with 3 kids so I have very limited time to work on it as well as limited tools, area to work and funds. But I do feel it's a solid install. It's been alot of fun to to do this again, especially when my kids help me "put the boom boom in"!
Now I need to work on the front stage. Not entirely pleased with the 3.6 set up. Still pondering a few ideas.
I'm gonna take some better pics as well. Had to use my daughter's camera as mine has battery issues. her's doesn't seem to like taking pics of black.
Well off to put 30' of edead in my doors.

Ok, redid my doors the last 2 days. Used 30' of edead 80. Man that's some nice stuff! Alot better than we used years ago.

Did entire door interior, lowere front corners with 3 layers, followed by Deflex pads.\

Then to cover the holes, I used Aluminum roofing flashing. I cut it to fit, then lined the interior side with a layer of edead. Then used aluminum rivets to fasten, followed by a bead of silicone. Then coverd the door with edead.

Then put factory layer back on, forgot to get a picture of door with edead.

Here's the speaker baffles I made with angled rings.

Very pleased with the results. Much better mid-bass, and the mid-range is ALOT better, which I didn't really like before. Have them crossed over at 63z and the handle it very well.

11kv2 is sounding really good as well. Very tight with plenty of volume and bottom end.
The combo package is a great value, especially with a proper install.
Still have some tweaking to do as well as get everything mounted.
