So yesterday I started to whip up my ported Tritrix center channel build.
I bought the drivers a while back from some one on the PE forum and am planning on picking up the crossover parts in about 10 days. So I tore apart a previous car enclosure that was lying around and used that wood for this.
It's 1/2" MDF, but I left the Tritrix enclosure the same external dimensions as in the plans and threw in a brace and the binding post plate will be bumped in to the enclosure, so I figured it would balance out for the most part.
I just picked up an air compressor and brad nailer and wow, it cut down the building time about 75%. It is AWESOME. Just thought I would throw that in there.
Pics.
Panels.
Side Baffles glued.
Brace in.
Top on.

Thanks mang! Not my prettiest, but oh well. Should solidify the 1/2" pretty well. Need to get the binding post recess done next, and then put in the port, mount the crossover, put on the top then mount the front baffle. Paint, stain, clear, utilize.
Funny how it sounds so easy and fast when you list it like that.....

Yeah, when you say it like that it sounds like it should take 20 minutes.

Bought th eoak and pvc yesterday! That's about it. Me knee has gone from aggravating to excruciating. MRI tonight. Might be able to get some work done but don't count on it.
The drivers for this are the Dayton DC130BS-4 and DC28FS.

No problem! I'm building this and the surrounds to round it out and sell as a package eventually. I am going to replace them with the Khanspires and the respective centers and surrounds. The Khanspire's step up to the Dayton Reference line and are supposedly very nice and more dedicated to HT than music, though still very nice for music. I was flip flopping between The Statements and the Khanspires and thought to try the Khanspires since they have a dedicated center channel build and surrounds. The Statements are supposedly phenomenal Music mains, as well as the mini statements and monitor statements.
The Khanspires and statements are both about the same size as the D8's I built, so size isn't really a problem. If I don't sell the D8/Tritrix setup, then they'll go in another room somewhere. NO kill like Overkill.

Haven't had a chance to post the pics, but last night got the binding post plate cut, got the binding post recess cutout and sanded, and the basic form of the front baffle is done. That took some time to do, but went a lot quicker than the towers.
Tomorrow glue together the front baffle, finish binding post recess/plate, recess and cutout driver holes on baffle, glue it all up! Then just need the crossover parts, and do the finish.
FCK. The finish.

Joey how's the knee? I'm thinking of trying the khanspires myself. No surrounds, just the LCR.

Today? Good! Surgery on the second of Feb. I'm excited and nervous.
They look real nice. I would eventually get around to some kind of surround but am like you, focused on the LCR.

Thanks TK. I am debating on how picky I want to be with this, as I don't have the router bit to match the edging on the binding post recess. I may just round it over. That way I can glue in the binding post plate, install the binding posts, wire them and move on from there (glue top on, stain, paint, clear, done).

What kinda dollar signs will you end up having in this build?
I'm REALLY thinking about getting the TriTrix MTM TL Speaker Package while its on special at Parts Express, and would end up wanting to have a matching center to go with it.

Not much. Total, maybe under $150?
