This thread will be used only as a link to other threads that as their primary focus are based on the designing of a box intended to be used with subwoofers.
IF you want your thread to be mentioned, a couple of steps are needed:
1. Be clear. Let us know the volume, if ported the tuning, the subs it is intended to be used with, and if you are cool, you will have pictures to go along with it.
2. Plan out your post. Try to put as much info into the first post of your thread so you don't have to make multiple corrections, or additions to the thread later.
3. PM me or let me know where your thread is. (hopefully in the construction forum) Otherwise I just might not have seen it.
4. Be cool. Uncool dudes get stomped on. :wow:

Jackw's "page" isn't showing the pix. Just the dreaded red "X" document/icon.

Is this restricted to subwoofer box designs only? Or will designs for higher frequencies be entertained...

I was going to let the thread die due to a complete lack of activity.... but another mod restickied it. So yeah, any box design will go here. Full range, whatever you want.

I don't really care to much one way or the other. I think maybe one person used the 'system'.
I thought it was funny to see it re-stickied.

Hey haven't been on here in a while and now come to notice my box thread is now a stickey. I'm flattered.
Anyway I think the pics don't show because they are like 3 years old and I don't ever go to car domain. Ill find the pics and re-submit them when I get back to the computer where they are stored.
man I wish I had sketchup when making that box.

Not a box design but definitely useful in designing...

Good linkage I thought deserved to be here, from Jason in this thread...

Even though he is building shelves, the techniques seem to apply to enclosure building.

13kv.2 tline 30hz cutlist:
20.25 x 13 (x1) Right side
26.25 x 13 (x1) Left side
14.5 x 29 (x2) Front Face (woofer cutout) and Rear
26.25 x 29 (x2) Top and Bottom
21.5 x 13 (x3) Line Walls
4.25 x 13 (x7) 45deg corners
11 diameter woofer cutout
This is a 13kv.2 T-Line I whipped up. The tuning is right around 30Hz on this one. It is a 1/4 wavelength transmission line.

I'm planning to build this for 3 13kv.2s I have been saving for my HT. It is a 3 driver transmisison line tuned to 22 hz with a 5:1 taper through the line.
