well im just getting the pics up now bc everything took ALOT longer than i expected, and before i knew it, it was 7pm, then i had to eat, and spend some time with the g/f, so yea....heres the pics....oh yea, my amps still arent hooked back up, my rca's and speaker wire arent re-run yet, and my barbed inserts/bolts havent been put to use yet
heres the supplies: the black can has about a half gallon of Xterminator liquid deadening, the silver is a gallon of v3, next to them is a 10' roll of v1, and the remains(~6ft) of another roll of v1, and the wires are the new antenna harness. the rest of that gallon of Xterminator has already been used on the doors and hatch floor. note to self - dont leave v3 sit in the corner of your room for over 7 months, and dont let v1 sit in an ice cold attic for the winter
heres my hatch with the box removed
lift up the carpet and the false floor, and surprise!! my amps. yea they get a little stuffy under there
heres the little bit of v1 i got to put on over the summer
heres my speaker wires and rca's running up the side of the rear seat. theyre wrapped in "expano-tubing" that i got off ebay. $15 for 100'. its awesome
heres how my power wire is ran, it used to snake up through the 1/4 panel, but now i ran it similar to how the rca's and speaker wire are currently ran
heres my naked hatch, waiting for some deadening
heres the 10' roll of v1 applied. the remains of the first roll of v1 was shot bc i guess the extreme cold made the backing not sticky any more. as i unrolled it, the paper backing pretty much would just fall off, and no matter how much i warmed it up, or rolled it out, it wouldnt get sticky again. oh well, no biggie, the other roll i had was fine, and was more than enough.
now heres why you dont leave v3 sitting in the same spot for 7 months. it settles, and the bottom becomes GOOEY. at first i thought it was ruined, and had started to set up, but after about 20 min of stirring, it mixed back together nicely. thats a big lump of goo hanging from the stick that stuck to the stick while i was stirring. the top inch or so if the gallon was purely blue water
heres some pics of what i got done today. after about 2pm, it got cool and windy so the v3 took a while to dry, so i only got about a half gallon applied.
